The Good Night (2007)

Gary, a musician, is trapped in an unhappy relationship with his live-in lover, Dora. He becomes enthralled with a beautiful seductress who enters his dreams, and tries to control his dream-state so he can spend more and more time with her. When Gary sees his mystery woman's face on a bus billboard, he discovers she is real, and fate brings him an opportunity to meet her.

Very interesting. Good acting... definitely not for everyone as it's not easy to follow, but think outside the box and you'll get it. Makes you wonder about the option of living in Utopia or reality and the decision of taking charge of your choice/life. Does it makes sense?

I hadn't heard of this film at all until i spotted it on a supermarket shelf. I like Martin Freeman and Simon Pegg so I was intrigued and rented it. It is a coll little film about a man who is so bored of his life he would rather live in his own dreamworld. He finds out about "Lucid Dreams" in which it is possible to control what happens while you are dreaming and tries to perfect the art. It isn't a comedy but it makes you laugh. It is an odd mix of Englishmen in America, part rockumentary part mid-life crisis drama. I guess that's why I liked it because it was original. Don't get to into the Lucid dreaming bit or it might ruin your sleep after like it did mine ;-)
