This is a fantastic film based on a novel, it's brilliantly directed by Kubrick, and the cast is just perfect. I highly recommend this movie.

A sick twisted film about obsession and lust that is just absolutely hilarious most of the time. Peter Sellers is great and reminded me of his Dr. Strangelove impersonations. Possibly Mason's finest performance. Very intense a points. And I had no idea he could be extremely funny as well.

I am normally not a big Stanley Kubrick fan because of his big ego and his disrepect for other writers (cough Stephen King), but there is a lot of things he did that I liked, this is one of them. Stanley Kubrick's only mature film on the subject of sexuality, this movie has everything that crap like "Eyes Wide Shut" doesn't including good casting--Peter Sellers, James Mason, and Shelly Winters. A visually beautiful film That helped Kubrick get at the top of his game. Much, much, much better than "Eyes Wide Shut".

The adaptation of Nabokov's novel, although slightly straying, Stanley Kubrick does a wonderful job directing this film, as James Mason becomes Humbert Humbert to his fullest (and best ability). Sue Lyon has done a flawless job as the temptress Lolita.
