It was good.. Love Al Jolson's acting and singing. I just can't simply ignore this movie since it is the pioneer in talking movie.. Singing in the Rain and all those musical wont exist without the presence of this movie.

i dont like the half and half with speaking, i understand its the very first talking picture which is awesome, but it was like a total of 20 minutes of talking. tis stil excellent classic. but wtf is up with his EYES!!! oh make up artists should be fired for that display. so distracting with his dark eyes and bright white face, but when he had the mask on, it was the opposite, he rolls his eyelid grossly. its just annoying.

The Jazz Singer is a historic film because it is the first talkie. The music is incredible. My favorite song in the movie is Blue Skies. Al Jolson gave an incredible performance. The screenplay is well written. Alan Crosland did a great job directing this film. I enjoyed this motion picture because of the music and characters. The Jazz Singer is a must see.

Widely credited as being the first "talking" movie, but just the first famous one, i's mostly silent, but it's worth watching.
