MÃ¤dchenjahre einer KÃ¶nigin (1954) The main attraction in this film is and always will be Romy Schneider. It may be a dress-rehersal for the Sissi movies, but without the innocent charm of those, but retainning the same naÃ (R)ve tone throughout. Somehow it feels strange and silly when the English royalty is speaking German...

love the movie. grew up with it but Sissi wasen't an Austrian princess. She was bavarian she became the Austrian empress.
