"the apartment" with a bigger budget and less of a point, Wilder reteams lemmon and Maclaine in essentially the same roles, under different, lighter circumstances and a Parisian locale. it's not bad, per se, only light entertainment. Network television used to run the film every year.

I saw this for the first time when I was 14 yo and I was desparate to see Paris, which I'd dreamt about since age eight. Finally, just having turned twenty-one, the dream became reality!

Not quite "The Apartment" the big three first picture, but none the less an entertaining, albiet a little outragous, two and a half hours.
