I cannot hear the sound of kids sweaky shoes ever again the same way. An unbelievable world, yet based on a true story. Heartbreaking

This is an amazing movie. Having met a mother of three dancing on a bar a few months ago, it really makes me wonder about her kids! It's tragic that these things actually happen in the world.

It took me three tries to get through this movie. It's not exactly one of those movies that grabs your attention and keeps you on the edge of your seat. But on the third try, I made a point of sticking with it, and I'm very glad I did. I can't remember the last time I saw someone use cinematography like this. I don't think I've ever seen a director with such great attention to detail before. I've never seen performances from young children that real and arresting. I was taken in by the sense of charm, the cute and well-behaved children acting so well on their own. But what's best about this film is how slowly, methodically and organically it builds that sense of charm into a sense of tragedy. I spent the last 40 minutes - at least - on the verge of tears. If you like art film, this is a must see. If you think you'd like to give it a try, this is definitely one worth sticking with. If you don't think you can handle a slow-paced drama, then this is not the movie for you.
