Hubert de Tartas' life becomes a complete muddle when his wife's grandfather is unearthed after having spent 65 years in frozen hibernation in the polar circle. After being de-frosted, the Hibernating Man believes it is still the beginning of the century. Nothing is spared to keep that illusion alive. At the end of his rope, Hubert blurts out the truth and takes the man from Edwardian times on a crazy spree through an ultramodern Twentieth Century.

Ovo je komedija sa elementima fantastike - nekakav lik je ostao zamrznut 60ak godina i budi se u potpuno novom svijetu. Da ne bi dozivio preveliki sok, njegovi bliznji rekonstruisu vrijeme u kom je on zivio i likove s kojima je komunicirao. Francuske komedije su najcesce ostro polarizovane - ili su urnebesno smijesne i briljantne kao Andjeli cuvari (jedan od mojih omiljenih citata iz bilo kog filma, EVER: "Pisano je: Prvi ce biti posljednji i posljednji prvi. Imate srece. Vi ste zaista posljednji medju posljednjima.") ili apsolutno nepodnosljivi davezfest i test za zivce kao npr. Erik i Remzi. Hibernatus je izuzetak - dobar i zabavan film (narocito ako podnosite Luja de Fina) ali bez nekog laugh-out-loud humora.

Although i generally like de funes. I found this one very boring. De funes playing too much of the same role all over again. Whistling at other people to draw attention, and making spastic faces. I think i should stop watching his movies not to spoil my opinion about him
