this is a masterpiece it's perfect I love it simply brilliant everything was great not a thing wrong and you can almost never go wrong with Gene Hackman and he has a great supporting cast.. A must see.. If you wanna see terrible remakes on this don't waste your time POSEIDEN was JUNK I hated every second of it...

ONE OF THE VERY FIRST MOVIES I SAW. THE ULTIMATE DISASTER MOVIE, STELLAR CAST, THEY DON'T MAKE ACTORS LIKE THESE ANYMORE. ALL BELIEVABLE CHARACTERS. EFFECTS LOOK A BIT ROPEY COMPARED TO THESE DAYS BUT THEY ARE STILL GOOD. LOVE IT.

With an All-star cast and disaster to boot, who can not but love this classic film, and not shed a tear when Shelley Winters puts her own life on the line to save everyone else. The performance of a lifetime for here.

Story is not important. It's just tremendously entertaining (especially when I was a kid).
