Hunter Carson is astoundingly good in his portrayal of Hunter, which is really remarkable seeing as how he can't have been older than 10 at the time the film was shot. The film is very slow, but that pace goes along perfectly with the story itself. Beautiful shots of stark, vast, sublime Texas and southwestern America (which is only natural, as Sam Shepard wrote the screenplay.) Nasstasja Kinski is so beautiful, and watching her is always a joy. Another lovely film by Wim Wenders. AND did I mention the cinematography? it's perfect.

Has to be up there as amongst the greatest Cinematographic studies of all time, and Wenders knows how to take his time, wonderful stuff, take a day out and watch this - it will enrich your life.

So, so beautiful. Some of the most beautiful cinematography I've ever seen and a gorgeous soundtrack by Ry Cooder. A perfect mood-piece, very slow-paced and very atmospheric.

Film to make grown man cry. Harry Dean Stanton's monologue towards the end & the resultant response are F*cking heart breaking.
