Based primarily on the first game in the series, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, the film focuses on rookie defense attorney Phoenix Wright, as he strives to protect his clients in various murder trials, including the death of his mentor, Mia Fey, and the accusation of rival prosecutor, Miles Edgeworth. Phoenix's greatest ally is Mia's younger sister Maya, a spirit medium whose body is possessed by Mia to communicate with him.

Miike's hugely exuberant, funny and shockingly cohesive (if customarily bonkers and bloated) game adaptation is a riot.

A very faithful adaptation to the game, the director and actors perfectly captured all the crazy wackiness from the game. Even if you haven't played the games, you will still enjoy this film. This is honestly the best video game movie to ever be made.

This movie is the BEST Game to Movie adaptation I've ever seen All the way down to the Costume (which i believe is the best part honestly) This movie embodies the true culture of the original game and I believe it is the bestmovie adaptation i've ever seen!!!! 100000000% would recommend! :D

Liked the game, but this was a bit of a let down. The acting was pretty much sub par. It didn't have ridiculous overacting that made the video game entertaining, it was very toned down. The casting could do a bit of work just because they look like they need to be made up a lot in order to get the feeling right. I would rather have: Jack Black as Gumshoe James Avery as the Judge Toby McGuire as Phoenix/Naruhodou James Franco as Miles/Kenji Topher Grace as Larry Butz Jack Nicholson as Winston Payne Haruka Kinami as Maya Fey Saori Hara as Mia Fey Ben Kingsley as Von Karma Rizwan Manji as Sawhit And maybe Charlize Theron as Dalhia Hawthorne in the future
