Amazing, one of the best movies I've ever seen, highly highly recommend it. Great pace and use of language, almost at times comes off as a post modern shakespearian play. It is brilliant.

Brick is phenomenal. It's slick and stylish with a compelling story, great performances, absolutely delectable dialogue, and an ingenius structure. It's a truly unique one-of-a-kind film with a very risky and ballsy premise that pays off immensely. Finally, a film with a brilliant premise that milks it for all its worth. The beauty of Brick comes from how the brilliance of its concept and the brilliance of its execution meets to a match made in heaven.

"She called me a dirty word." Noir to it's core, an excellent script, impeccable direction from a first timer, a great cast and a ridiculously engaging performance by Joseph Gordon-Levitt places this movie near the very top of my all time favourites.

I really can't think of any flaws in this movie. I wouldn't give it a perfect 10, but it's as close to perfect as any movie I've ever seen. It really just sweeps you up into this world of intrigue and crime and takes you on a journey as the mystery of this girl unfolds before your eyes. Johnson created a somehow believable crime underworld in a high school that just makes you more curious as the story progresses. Brick is a masterfully directed movie with perfect dialogue, believable characters, and a story that keeps you guessing until the end.
