Those déjà vu yet familiar scenario is one thing. Despite occasionally melodramatic, its general light-footed tone is a great advantage.

An amazing and surprising movie about a down-at-the-heels lawyer who first finds money and then finds the courage of his convictions. Also, an amazingly subversive movie that can be read as a metaphor for, and a critique of, America's timid lawyers and judges who have quietly acquiesced in the loss of civil liberties under the guise of "National Security." See this movie. Then contrast and compare.
