The action and technology is awesome in this one!

In 1997, Pierce Brosnan slipped into the 007 tuxedo for a second time, providing an assured and assertive performance as the world's most famous spy. Following closely in the success of Goldeneye, the invigorated franchise produced an entertaining and often underrated 007 adventure. Tomorrow Never Dies is a high-tech entry in the James Bond series that reflected the shifting power of the modern world in the late nineteen-nineties.

The double-entendres at the start are many, obvious, dated, yet part of what makes Bond, Bond. Michelle Yeoh plays Wai Lin a Chinese agent who turns in one of the best Bonds girl/allies yet. Jonathan Pyrce is Elliot Carver, an excellent villain, who plays a insane media mogul with just the right amount of glee it takes for the part. Carver plans on creating a war between England and China by firing a stolen missile at China and it is up to Bond and Lin to stop him.

I think this is an underrated Bond movie. I actually found the villian creative, like most Bond villians. Of course the one-liners, gadgets, action scenes all live up to Bond quality as well.

Probably one of my top 3 Bond films. I really enjoy the globe trotting nature and it doesn't feel gratuitous. carver is a great villain with the brains and is need to have Stamper as muscle makes perfect sense. It feels that Brosnan fully understands the role and embodies it fully.
