Real fans of the franchise will find this installment exhilarating. Excellent performances by Bale and Worthington, as well as excellent sound design, and visual effects. The narrative, like all great narratives, is simple and to the point. Terminator Salvation expands the Terminator mythology, asks interesting questions about the machine/human dichotomy, and gives us an entertaining picture of a post-apocalyptic world ruled by robots. As for those critics who have said this movie isn't "fun enough," or that it is "too dark," I can only guess that they were not real fans of the original.

All manner of new robots blow stuff up real good, and the action scenes work well on a large and small scale (some utilize close-ups particularly nicely).

Been a fan of the series for 20 years. I'm glad they're still making the movies, been waiting a long time to see the movie moving to after the nuclear war. If you enjoy sci fi, action, and the t series give em your support for a strong t sequel. Ignore the "film" experts, who ever listens to critics anyways, make up your own mind and watch it.
