Dark Fate serves as a case study for the difficulty of crafting a satisfying follow-up to a pair of certified classics, a process that seems to involve constant toggling between hopelessness and insisting that all is not lost. As such, it’s hard to blame Cameron for keeping his old series at arm’s length. It’s also hard to stay interested in a franchise that looks, with each inessential sequel, more and more like a doomsday prepper rephrasing the same old prophecy.

The story introduces interesting new wrinkles and the ending, when considered in the context of a trilogy, makes this movie feel less like an extraneous add-on than a part of a larger tale. There’s really nowhere else to take the franchise, however. With this sixth installment, it’s over.

A solid not bad, but could have being great. I'm fine with the plot, some people have complaints and I get it, yet the direction could have being better: uneven and repetitive pacing, action pause pause action pause pause pause action pause action pause action; uneven visual effects, the new Terminator making smalls jumps were awful, my wife said "put the guy on a damn wire cheap bastard", I explained Miller likes to play with CGI... Nope, the waifi is right, the tests was breathtaking, solid action, espectacular Physics, we really experienced the IMAX factor. I enjoyed the movie but is not a T2 succesor, it is more like an improvement of the T3-T5 formula.

This movie lost my attention about halfway through (and even struggled to keep it that long). It lacked an interesting plot beyond the usuals (yes, this is, sadly, where we've come to). They basically remade T2 but took away the emotion and physical palpability of the original masterpiece and substituted it with mundane bickering and surprisingly bad and overused CGI (not terrible, just a lot worse than I expected from a movie I would consider to be a high-profile flick). It suffers from the exact same thing as most modern action movies; the action is so intense and so choreographed, that it becomes silly. It lacks physical weight and feel. Dark Fate is a moped on a racing track. RIP Terminator franchise.
