A horror classic disguised as a Sci-Fi thriller, The Terminator is a near perfect film. If it werenï¿ 1/2(TM)t for dated special effects it would be. Itï¿ 1/2(TM)s well deserving of its 100% audience score. While itï¿ 1/2(TM)s sequel is lauded as the best in the franchise, Iï¿ 1/2(TM)m still partial to the original with its synth-filled score, small scale feel, and world building. Aside from the Halloween movies(1978 and 2018) itï¿ 1/2(TM)s my favorite horror film.

With its impressive action sequences, taut economic direction, and relentlessly fast pace, it's clear why The Terminator continues to be an influence on sci-fi and action flicks.

The best film in the series! It's really tense, fast-paced and scary, thanks to James Cameron excellent direction and Arnold Schwarzenegger's great performance, he is just perfect for the role. Linda Hamilton and Michael Biehn do a great work making their excellent characters believable and lovable. The soundtrack is just one of the best things to come out from the 80's and it's perfect for the movie.
