It’s a bit overextended but very watchable with flourishes of exotic invention.

FANTASTIC...this movie is highly underrated. The effects sequences were awesome such an interested design for a ship. The music was also top notch I could listen to the score over and over again. Finally I thought the film had some fantastic Character moments, Mccoy with the beard, Spock realizing emotions were an essential part of being. The final reveal was also something I highly enjoyed.

Classic! A bit like 2001, could be a lot shorter, but nevermind, still something worth watching.
