More fun and full on than Casino Royale and just that little bit better than Skyfall, Quantum Of Solace packs loads of explosive action sequences to keep you gripped. Marc Forster's direction is excellent, this film has a fresh feeling to it and the look of the film is stunning throughout, especially the wildly edited action. Forster has given Bond a motive for vengeance which is great, it reminds me of Dalton in Licence To Kill. 007 is back seeking payback as he travels around the world on an exciting mission that features plane, car, boat and foot chases in several exotic locations. This film features the most thrilling story in a Bond film and a scheming villain played by the excellent Matthieu Amalric, and Olga Kurylenko & Gemma Arterton play the hottest and best Bond girls since Ursula Andress & Daniela Bianchi. The soundtrack is fantastic, and it's integral to every scene whether it be high speed chases or dialogue scenes, it's so memorable. Quantum kicks ass, it is the best film of 2008 and stands tall in the Bond franchise.

You people who are stuck on the old James Bond need to get over it! The old gadgets and sex and just plain sillyness is gone! Here and now in the last couple of movies we have had a real person that is believable. No out of control camera movement, good action that is believable (well, most of it) and still the good looking women! This was a very good movie and i love the fact that it followed the story of the last.

This is an exceptional movie. But beware, it is a shift away from the traditional, cheesy lined Bond movie towards a darker, richer story. Craig's acting is on par, if not better than Casino Royale. I can't comprehend how reviewers trash this movie for its austerity and lack of "campiness". It wouldn't make sense to follow the typical formula for Quantum. In addition to the psychological trauma from Vesper Lynd's death, Bond suffers numerous other cataclysms in the movie. To simply "grin" and move on, as some reviewers suggested, wouldn't be appropriate -it would actually be quite distracting. Again I have to emphasize, this movie is remarkable, if this is a sign for what's to come from this franchise, count me in. As for those reviewers who trashed the movie, I suggest they "grin" and move on.

One of the most ridiculously under-appreciated Bond films, Quantum of Solace is an emotionally satisfying, artfully photographed and action-packed sequel to Casino Royale that will likely become something of a cult-classic. As a character study, this is one of the most interesting movies in the cannon--Bond is unhinged, drunk and enraged by the death of the only girl he ever really loved; it's a departure for the character, but one that gives us Craig's best performance as Bond. Combine that with a wonderfully creepy villain and one of the best Bond Girls, and you've got a movie that I really hope critics will one day re-examine.
