Very true to the original story, and the added bonus of being an action movie which doesn't pander the the star's ego. It's a bit of a shame that the synopsis mentions "Total Recall" at all-- look to "Blade Runner" for a more comparable film, and it was less faithful in its story.

This is a really good tv movie - but this is not one for the cinema, some great actors in here (Tony Shaloub and Vincent D'Onofrio in particular) and a great (but you do see it coming) ending. It just feels like it needed more creativity and a bigger budget and as a result is just a so so sci fi - "so so" is not what Phillip K Dick is known for.

Stale, but a bit thrilling. The characters are not too memorable, the plot isn't original, and the final outcome could be seen a mile away. The effects weren't horrible, and the atmosphere was decent enough. A bland sci-fi action flick, not good enough to sit through without being completely bored.

I remember this movie tanking at the Box Office, but it really isn't all that bad. Kind of a like a Sci-Fi version of The Fugitive...doesn't really deliver any kind of tension or suspense, it's more of a background film to have on. Why do people keep going on about the twist ending? The movie is called Impostor for a reason...
