Pride and Glory (2008)

police corruption movies are ten a penny nowadays. this is the better of the more recent batch, but really after watching the shield and the wire i find cop movies will always be in the shadow of such greats...nethertheless i really enjoyed pride and glory and recommend it

"seems tragically, good actors, could be something" ofcourse it was something! very hard, manages to still get the intrest out of the corruption dealt with in the corps, very serious and made intresting characters with a special family bond, seems like they are hiding a lot. Pro performances by Farrell and Norton. lacks a bit of action in the beginning, sort of a set up more, though the darkness is set two, characters unravel, more action - freaking thuf scenes, very commited, detailed, ongoing. Even harder ending plot, could be more sensational, but this is surely sufficient! Almost as good as Brooklyn's finest!

This is a respectable effort that, for reasons unclear to me, has taken a good thrashing from critics and audiences alike. Allegedly, there were a lot of issues dragging the movie down during production, such as incessant script changes during the filmmaking process. Director Gavin O'Connor does a commendable job of shielding the audience from those problems. This is a pretty rock solid crime-drama, with a slick-looking style and a script that remains compelling despite its flaws. Although the focus is murky sometimes and the characters slightly underdeveloped, I felt that the savage violence was appropriate and the structure felt tight. The performances are the backbone of this project. Edward Norton is an excellent lead, as always, but it is the rising talent Colin Farrell who stole my attention. Playing a malicious and terrifying character, he demonstrates once again the kind of range that he has as an actor.

it has the best actors. especially edward norton. the movie is great. you have to pay attention because they are a lot of characters in it. it shows the bad side of some cops.

This was an excellent film and I'm disappointed that I didn't see it in the theatre. This film has an excellent storyline and a great cast. I also really liked the cinematograohy because at times this film had the feel of a documentary. Ed Norton delivers another strong performance and this movie would not have been the same without him in it. Colin Farrell was amazing in this movie, he steals most of the scenes he is in. If you like cop movies check this one out.
