Trancers (1984)

Angel City trooper Jack Deth is sent back in time from 2247 to 1985 L.A. to inhabit the body of his ancestor. Deth's assignment is to find his archenemy, Whistler, who turns people into zombies, before the fiend is able to kill all the ancestors of the future's governing council.

This movie is a great rip off. It's like TERMINATOR except Kyle Reese is Deckerd from BLADE RUNNER and the TERMINATOR is replaced by TRANCERS, which are basically schizo zombies. More fun than it sounds.

Done on a budget of ten pence by the look of it. It is wonderful sci-fantasy escapism at its most mediocre but I adore it.

An okay sci-fi action thriller, with an average cast, and a predictable ending. It has some good scenes, but it could have been a lot better.

Trancers, running about 70 minutes, is just about perfect. It's a silly, quick Blade Runner - Terminator ripoff. The best Full Moon picture I've seen.
