A landmark in the field of Western cinema, Sergio's most finely-crafted epic shines in every respect. The film constructs this legendary tale over the quiet and slow-paced reality of Western America with the thunderous events and notable characters such as Bronson's Harmonica and Robard's Cheyenne. When it comes to it's climax, it finishes with one of the grandest standoffs in film history, a heart-pounding experience that makes this film what we know it as today. The Western that all Westerns aspire to be. That and The Good, The Bad and The Ugly!

Once Upon A Time In The West is by far the Greatest Movie I have ever seen in my life. It's on my top 10 favorite movies of all time. Everything about this film is amazing. The scenery, the acting, directing, the music, it's just amazing. I find Once Upon A Time In The West to be like a piece of art. It's a masterpiece. They really don't make movies like this anymore. I mean, there are acouple movies out there, but still.

Leone delivers a thrilling tale of sex, murder, greed, and vigilante justice in a western fairy tale that stands out as one of the best Westerns I've ever seen. A lot of the credit goes to Brunson and Fonda, playing two of the best gunslingers I've ever seen. Of special note, I liked the fact Brunson wore his gun at his hip only at the dramatic climax of the movie...before that he always had it haphazardly laying around nearby. Claudia Cardinale also deserves extra credit...not so much for her acting, but for being nearly angelic in beauty.
