One of the first movie of spike lee, i've seen. I was kinda shock because i was young when i saw the movie and i didn't know that the racism was that bad in america.Till today, it's still make me think, but i do get hooked-up at Spike lee, tough

Why isn't the fantastic Annabella Sciorra given more roles like this one? Snipes turns in his best ever performance and there is real chemistry between him and Sciorra. Predictably, however, Jackson steals very scene he is in. The intrusive Stevie Wonder soundtrack mars the film terribly.

There's no question that this is Lee's most ambitious and successful work so far, but it will be nice if, in the future, he has enough confidence in his story to let down even more of his affectations.
