Both Audrey and Tony were miscast in their roles, but they look good together. Could have been better, but still worth a look. The dialogue between them is very darling.

entertaining scenery, ethereal dialogue matches surreal story, pleasant fantasy jungle adventure

Pretty cheesy for today's audience, but okay, slow in parts.

A potboiler of the time, from a novel by W H Hudson, back when they made potboilers of this type, enjoyable now mostly to see these actors...Anthony Perkins as a young leading man, Audrey Hepburn as the 'bird-woman', Lee J Cobb.... A glorious final image of Audrey at the cliff's edge, set against the sun.

Well during production of this film, people said the novel was unfilmable, after the film was released this was proven true. Anthony Perkins was unconvincing.
