Check this out: A dude wants to build an opera house in the middle of the Peruvian rainforest but since no one will invest, he has to raise the money himself. To do this, he has to exploit the vast amounts of rubber trees that lay beyond his practical reach. Solution: Drag a huge fucking boat over and through the rainforest so that a path may be cleared and canal opened up in order for the rubber to be exploited, the money be raised, and the opera house in the Peruvian rainforest be built. All with no special effects. And here's the kicker: I had sex with your mom.

Madness! Inspiration! Willpower! A triumph of logistics! Just amazing, beautiful, thrilling and uplifting. I liked it a lot!

Possibly the best film I've ever seen and 'the making of ' is incredible too! Klaus Kinski is utterly nuts!

If David Lynch directed "Lawrence of Arabia", it would have looked a bit like this. Another movie about self-delusion and unobtainable dreams, with Klaus Kinski giving the most unnerving performance ever committed to celluoid.
