Not seeing the original movie nor reading the book, i thought the movie was well made and kept my interest. It helps to have Michael B.Jordan and michael Shannon in the same movie

Fahrenheit 451 is one of my favorite books which is why this is so disappointing. They have great source material but completely change the characters turning point and outcome. In the movie yes he start reading books but that was the only thing the cause his change. It was the fact society was becoming mindless and numb and none of that was really shown in the movie. They didn't have the young neighbor, the overdose, the mechanical hound. It not like Bradbury's book didn't have technology in it, it had overwhelming technology, it was just censored and controlled and you really didn't get that in the film either. It just makes me a little sad.

This movie was ok. They could have made it much better if they had not tried to stuff so much in so little time. The novel was much more doper and that is what makes this movie even worse.

[This] adaptation of Ray Bradburry's classic novel doesn't really shock the core like it should, mostly because it's a movie that wants the essence of a narrative without really digging into the themes.
