By far the most intellectually and emotionally brilliant film I have ever seen in terms of its sheer gut wrenching power. You dont shed an idle tear, you sit sobbing while the credits role into darkness.

Unbelievable...What a touching story. The use of poetry in this film is placed perfectly.

I'm neither Embarrassed nor Ashamed to admit I cry throughout it, no matter how many times I've seen it!

Emma Thompson is amazing. The writing is awsome and the poetry sublime. I've watched this movie 4 or 5 times - and see it new each time. I love the 'hysterical punctionation', the 'descent into anglo saxon', and finally the 'runaway bunny' scenes particularly.
