I generally resist calling any actor's work "brave" or "fearless" or any such thing, but Bosco's work here made me reconsider that self-imposed ban. It's incredible, harrowing, precise stuff.

The latter half suffers from degenerative indie-itis, that epidemic syndrome whose main symptom is unwarranted interest in the ennui afflicting well-read urban misfits.

Has kind of a bleak interpretation of life, but a very realistic one, and I always appreciate realism no matter the circumstance. Philip Seymour Hoffman in particular is good in this. I can't help but notice how far apart Hoffman is from the rank and file of hollywood's narcissistic elite. He has his own truly subtle style that I have a feeling many cannot appreciate, but which is, I think, much more rewarding to see than the canned performances one usually sees from Tom Cruise and his ilk.

Beautifully written and well worth seeing, thought it is very sad. There's a lot of depth here. The "Lost Children" John and Wendy, the lyrics to Brecht's Song of Salomon playing as John drives down the street. Moving.
