Staring Ruth Gordon & Geraldine Page, very interesting for it's time. Great , but very hard to find a copy of. I saw this 1st when I was 16. That's when I began loving Geraldine Page, & Ruth Gordon!

Great actors and some good black comedy, but this is a thriller too, and as a thriller it's predictable and lacks suspense. Overall, it's an okay movie, but it could have been a lot better.

It's no Baby Jane, but anything that pits Geraldine Page against Ruth Gordon is alright in my book.

Robert Aldrich produced this darkly comic suspenser in the vein of his own classics 'What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?' and 'Hush... Hush, Sweet Charlotte'. The plot and production values are a step below - but the spirited performances by Geraldine Page and Ruth Gordon, as well as the unusual score by Gerald Fried, make it work. Melodramatic and dated, but a lot of fun for those reasons - entertaining for fans of aging actresses movies, but not one of the best.
