The Man with the Golden Arm (1955)

When illegal card dealer and recovering heroin addict Frankie Machine gets out of prison, he decides to straighten up. Armed with nothing but an old drum set, Frankie tries to get honest work as a drummer. But when his former employer and his old drug dealer re-enter his life, Frankie finds it hard to stay clean and eventually finds himself succumbing to his old habits.

Frank Sinatra were a hell of actor in fact. he was cool and he was impressive in his minimalistic playing. this one is in fact one of the first movies that ever dealt with drugs and the habit. A great movie that you canÂ´t miss

Frank Sinatra turns in a great performance as a former heroin user who returns to society after serving time and going cold turkey. Despite the inevitability of his character's decline, it doesn't stop you hoping that he'll get the fresh start that he needs and although some elements of the film are a bit dated now, Sinatra's performance was surprising and worth two hours of my own life.
