Filmed by Oscar winning cinematographer TC Christensen, this is a timeless story of religious belief and persecution. It chronicles the founding of the LDS church and their search for a place to call home in a dark period of religious persecution in America. Based on the award winning series of novels.

I really liked the movie, it has a good story tied into a real life story. A good way of telling part of the Restoration. The only problem is that it doesnt explain enough or as deeply as I would have liked the doctrine of the Restoration.
