This is one of my all time favorite horror flicks. The musical score by Tangerine Dream is excellent . No were near as good as the book but they never are but nonetheless stands on its own fairly well.

If this movie deals with a large castle type biulding during World War 2, where the NAZIs are going to shoot it out with Americans then I want to buy it then see it again!

Five stars for the atmosphere alone, this is an absolute underated gem. Top score by Tangerine Dream, adding to the overall dreamy creepyness. Just a shame the SFX didn't really come out as intended (due to budget I believe) and due to universal shunning it still hasn't got a decent DVD release....BOO

One of my all time favorite horror films though I'd hardly call it horror really. There are loads of critics of this film in the audience but they shouldn't be mad at Michael Mann the director, the reason why this film is hard to follow is a great example of yet another great movie being destroyed by the studio in the cutting room. There's a reason why Shareholders are not directors and this is why. Anyway once you find the pieces cut out of the film you'll understand the whole film!
