The Identical (2014)

During the Great Depression, identical twins are separated at birth. One, Drexel Hemsley becomes a wildly successful '50s rock star, while the other, Ryan Wade, struggles to balance his passion for music and pleasing his parents, who want him to become a preacher. Finally, Ryan rebels against his parents' wishes and launches his own music career -- performing the hits of Drexel Hemsley. Ryan later learns the truth about Drexel when their fates tragically collide.

the music is all original... which is shocking because when you hear the music you think it had to have been a hit back in the day... great movie for the whole family to see...

As a parent it is almost imposable to find a movie that has high morals too show or suggest to friends that does not make you say "Its a good movie but you might want to close your eyes or ears at that part." If you are looking for a movie that is not some cheap cheesy production that you can suggest for someone to watch and not have them think you have a multiple personality because of the content than the Identical is for you.

This was a great movie, with tender moments. If you have a heart and don't have a tough exterior, then you will enjoy this movie. Guess what folks--as much as you think that it's not cool to have feelings, it really is ok. There was no killing, swearing, sex, crass behavior--and that's a problem to the critics??? This was a wholesome, good movie.

I was presently surprised at this movie being a good story about twins separated after birth due to the economy. This was very common in the 20's/30's/40's b/c of the depression & WW2.
