September of 1944, a few days before Finland went out of the Second World War. A chained to a rock Finnish sniper-kamikadze Veikko managed to set himself free. A Lapp woman Anni gives a shelter to both of them at her farm. For Anni they are not enemies, but just men.

A beautiful meeting of 3 people who hopelessly do not understand each other... Great film!

It's an unabashed pacifist movie that really works, emotionally and dramatically.

Im zweiten Anschauen sogar noch deutlich besser als in erster Ansicht

Funny and sweet. It's not wasy to creat a light weight movie about such a painful topic. Gibbrish is funny, it's a trick that works for eveyone - weither you're Charlie Chaplin or some russian director who writes his name in an odd way.

Russian hands, Lappish tongues, and a strong Finnish.
