Fear of a Black Hat (1994)

Chronicling the controversial career of bad boys N.W.H. (Niggaz With Hats), this uproarious 'mockumentary' lampoons all of hardcore rap's hot-button issues. This underground laugh riot recounts the rise, fall and resurrection of a clueless bunch of would-be rappers, Ice Cold, Tone-Def & Tasty Taste performing as N.W.H.

I'm sorry CB4, you as a decent movie, but pales in comparison to this movie, but when Ice Cold tried to kill Rico, and shot everyone else, I was on the floor dying laughing, and Taste T's gun calibration explanation.

A fantastic mocumentary of the early 90s Rap/Hip-Hop scene. Takes a bunch of excellent jabs at a number of prominent groups via parody songs including Public Enemy, Run-DMC, PM Dawn, and others. Hilarious, though it does require one to know the time-frame a little to get the references. If you saw CB4, this is the superior predecessor.

Brilliant mockumentary about rap. I remember watching this back in '94, in a cinema full of gangsta-wannabees who thought they were going to see a serious film! They were of course very dispapointed, not to mention insulted. My friends and I, however, laughed all the way! Gangsta rap gets ridiculed in every way, and it's a real joy to watch! It's a shame that this movie didn't become a huge success!

Great movie. If you haven't seen it, you haven't lived.

Everything about this movie made me laugh. It took me almost 2 years to find the soundtrack. I love it. M.C. Slammer! and Vanilla Sherbert!
