During a blizzard in 1964, Dr. David Henry delivers his son Paul with the help of nurse Caroline. But when Henry realizes his wife is also carrying a girl with Down syndrome, he hands the second child over to Caroline without his wife's knowledge. a new born was abandoned because she was not perfect. the decision of abandon is to avoid a baby with down syndrome to ruin everybody's life around her. however, it is ridiculous that everyone's life has been changed because of his iron heart decision. i cant see the point of hiding thing like this in the name of protection, it ruins only.

I read the book last year and loved it. The film was beautifully done, but lacks some of the emotion you get reading the book. Both are thought provoking and worth a look.
