What the fuck is this? Its just complete garbage, but garbage that smells nice..or something, stupid. THIS is why Hammer Horror is so good, because its just fucking awful but you cannot help but love it.

Actually a decent effort compared to a few of the previous hammer frankenstein entries - decent cast and decent action - good film

Poor attempt by Hammer to create their version of Frankenstein, featuring the usually reliable Bates offering a rather irritating performance as the scientist who goes beyond the call of science.

If this is what Hammer thought the kids in 1970 wanted, it's little wonder that kids stayed far away.

Ignore the title of this one. There's very little horror to be found. Despite what some say, it is definitely not a prequel to the Hammer Frankenstein series, and in fact does not figure into the continuity of that series in any way, though word has it that Hammer was hoping for a new series starring Ralph Bates. This film is actually intended as a parody of Hammer's other Frankenstein films. If you like Re-Animator, you should like this. Same basic film, same type of humor, just a slightly different setting and a different star. The monster doesn't figure very largely in this film. Mostly it's about Victor's madness and experiments and the cruelty he inflicts on the people around him. Anyway, I had a good time, and I hope you will too.
