the scene with Helena and the lamp is heartbreaking

This is my favorite Frankenstein movie. Well directed and well acted. Robert De Niro should have won Best Actor for this and a good performance by Helena Bonham Carter.

I will always like the book better, but Kenneth Branagh and especially Helena Bonham Carter? how can one resist? The movie makes me shudder, it's amazing.

The one and only Frankenstein movie worth watching! Stays closer to the novel. Excellent performances...especially by DeNiro.
