Frankenstein Conquers the World (1965)

During WWII, Germans obtain the immortal heart of Frankenstein's monster and transport it to Japan to prevent it being seized by the Allies. Kept in a Hiroshima laboratory, it is seeming lost when the United States destroys the city with the atomic bomb. Years later a wild boy is discovered wandering the streets of the city alone, born of the immortal heart.

A feral boy exposed in Hiroshima is caught about 15 years after the blast. Apparently Nazis had done some research involving rapid regeneration of cells, and this knowledge secretly transported out of the country before the vengeful Allies were able claim it. The captured boy was exposed to both the cells and the radioactive fallout. He feeds on live animals and soon grows too large for his cage. He escapes and run amok across Japan. Baragon is out destroying things, but all gets blamed on the towering Frankenstein. He redeems himself by kicking Baragon's rear, but then a stupid Giant Octopus grabs Frankenstein. The End.

Nick Adams and Kumi Mizuno star together in this.. what else can I call it.. WONDERFALL masterpiece from the great director Honda... This film is about a mutant Frankenstein that battles a subterranean monster known as Baragon!

I was disappointed that this film did not actually depict what a Frankenstein dominated world would be like. It'd probably be really cool. But I guess we'll never know.

Gets a little draggy, and Baragon looks too much like a big-eared puppy, but otherwise pretty neat.

Frankenstein grows large and fights Baragon. Of course!
