Great flick. Gleason at his best. Maybe I'm biased as it was filmed in my home town but usually movies taking place in ireland make the people look stupid and the story is far fetched but not in this case. The humor was authentic galwegian. Would recommend to all I know.

That was the most LOLing I've done while watching a movie since Hera Pheri. Lots of F bombs, lots of language, but highly entertaining & a somewhat good story too.

I went to see this without seeing any trailers for it, all I knew was that it had Don Cheadle and the awesome Brendan Gleeson in it. Well I must say that it was my biggest surprise of 2011 and easily my favorite comedy in quite some time. Gleeson gives one hell of a performance as Gerry Boyle a cop that truly does not give a F**k about anything other than drinking whoring and not following his orders. From beginning to end he keeps his character from ever growing stale and while the story isn't anything new or crazy all the performances and the writing elevate this movie to greater heights.

Outstanding... simply wonderful. Awesome to hear the shlang from the wesht. A must see for anyone Irish, not sure the yanks'll get it all but tis great craic.
