wow umn just seen this movie 4 the 1st time n think that this is a good movie 2 watch....its got a good cast of actors/actressess throughout this movie.....i think that cary grant, deborah kerr, jean simmons, robert mitchum play good roles/parts throguhout this movie....i think that the director of this romance/drama/classics movie had done a good job of directing this movie because you never know what 2 expect throughout this movie....i think that this is a good movie 2 watch its a really good romance movie 2 watch its got a good cast throguhout this movie n its enjoyable 2 watch

I've never been a big fan of Cary Grant, I brought this movie for Robert Mitchum and Deborah Kerr. I have to say that in this film Cary's bumbling character won me over. Mitchum is sexy as ever and Jean Simmons's clothes are beyound fab!

cary grant's character is certainly progressive for the time. but hey, he's cary grant! unfortunately for this movie it doesn't get good until the last half hour.

I don't know why, but i find this film to be incredibly charming. Maybe it's just because I like seeing Cary Grant play the cuckold.

Who writes these synopses? Cary Grant is far from "befuddled;" the banter, what there is of it, is sophomoric; and the only fantasy is that it is a comedy. It wants desperately to be a French farce, but is it not French, and it is not a farce, except in that it wants us to believe that any woman married to Cary Grant would run off to London for a week with Robert Mitchum at all, let alone after knowing him for at most an hour. It is painfully dull, and substitutes lengthy exposition for character and plot development. The humor is broad, obvious, and contrived. The actors all give it the old school try, but even their professionalism cannot make up for the lack of dramatic tension, sharp dialogue, and sophisticated humor.
