A masterpiece. Not only my favorite comedy of all time, but one of my top 10 favorite films EVER. Everyone should see it. EVERYONE.

A perfect comedy. Great writing delivered by great writers and well-directed by the now-late Sydney Pollack. I'm surprised I hadn't seen this film sooner. A real gem.

It's really funny (especially Bill Murray), but it's Hoffman's really achingly sincere and painfully poignant realization as grows from shallow and self-involved to a guy who really tries to understand and love other people (as opposed to just neanderthalically getting into drawers). Sublimely moving for a movie that often cracks lists of the top ten best American comedies.
