The scene where she is whistling against the wall became part of my skin. Everything is wonderful: the actress, the music, and specially the strong effects of the story in my emotions each time I watch it again.

Fascinating film by my favorite director, partly set in my hometown, Krakow. Bonus: Irene Jacob is a doppelganger for my mom when she was 20.

This film is one of the most haunting films I've ever seen - I love the whole idea of having a double somewhere and discovering the person...plus the music is haunting...Irene Jacob is wonderful in this role...This director is magical - his other films do show the same quality - a quiet story is being told but it keep you watching...
