Ronald Coleman deserves and wins the Oscar for his role as an actor unable to distinguish between reality and the stage. It had some pretty dark and chiling moments, although some of the support actors could use some work. Coleman blends old school theatrics with excellent delivery.

excellent 1940's film noir, with brilliant acting by Ronald Coleman who got an Oscar for this; very disturbing movie of a Shakesperean actor who gets mentally lost in the role he plays

An actor gets too involved in his roles and eventually looses himself in the role of Othello. Colman gives a great performance in this movie.

A far from routine thriller, this great noir mixes Shakespeare's Othello with intrigue and romance. Colman is fantastic as is Signe Hasso.
