Quarries (2016)

To escape her abusive boyfriend, Kat joins a wilderness expedition with a group of women, all of whom are struggling with the uncertainty of life. What was supposed to be an opportunity for personal discovery quickly becomes a fight for survival, forcing each one to discover the strength within themselves that they didn't even know they possessed. While being brazenly chased by a pack of predators, the strong quickly set themselves apart from the weak. In a battle of will, stamina, and heart, these very virtues present themselves at the most crucial moment. First time female filmmakers. Film was financed by women, produced by women, written by women in acted in by women. More films like these that show diverse points of view need to be made.

After finding out what this movie's budget was, I have no choice but to give this 5 stars (would give 6 if I could)! May not be a perfect film but an unbelievable accomplishment in production value.

It's babes in the wood and big bad wolves. A pretty pointless exercise in schlock horror which is neither schloky or particularly horrid. If you want to see women being hunted and hurt you might enjoy this similarly if you want to see what's left of the women get their revenge, you might enjoy this also but if you're looking for a dark tale, set in the woods then you probably won't enjoy this much at all.

Good indie, high production value. I thought the theme was appropriate for a horror/thriller and varied enough from traditional genre films to keep my attention.
