Blacula (1972)

I can't believe Francis Ford Copolla stole the plot of this movie. Just another thing whitey has taken from the black man.

I really like this one... not that the king of cartoon could ever do anything less than stellar in my eyes ...and I'm totally stumped, what other movie had someone see their lover's doppelganger in the future (other than the Black Knight, of course). From the gay Dracula collectors to the incredibly effective cops on the Black beat social-commentary, and on creepy photo development scene, it deserves appreciation. I cant wait to see the sequel.

Well, like Ganja and Hess, it is an interesting approach to the vampire film, but it's not as entertaining as the others. But it still is pretty engaging throughout, or rather, it left me wanting to see how the new approach would turn out. I know there's a deeper meaning behind the film, which I get, but it just didn't come off as powerful as it could have.

One of the best blaxploitation pics of all time. Funky music , cool afros, and a great story of a man trying to find true love. Not as silly as the title.
