The visuals are nice but the movie's not scary. Henry Cavill is yummy though.

Good premise with satisfactory amounts of gore. Michael Fassbender was handsome even as an evil Nazi occultist. But the way the story plays out is too typical. Henry Cavill is my new favourite actor though.

Ultimately, all Nazi-zombie movies disappoint, and, unfortunately, Blood Creek is no exception. Shock Waves, Zombie Lake, Oasis of the Zombies, Dead Sno--all of these films promised something genuinely profound in the world of horror/exploitation cinema and failed to deliver upon it. That being said, Blood Creek does offer some genuinely gruesome, memorable, and original moments: zombie horse attack, nazi occult rituals using Nordic runes, etc. But these moments get lost in a plodding plot that becomes tiresome before the end of the film. Plus, I personally enjoyed the first section of the film, which is set during WWII and is shot in black and white, more than most of the film's remainder. Plenty of gore and twisted death scenes make up some for the boring plot development, and Blood Creek still ranks above some of Schumacher's more abysmal films--I'm looking at you Batman Forever and Batman and Robin.

I am a major horror movie fan and this is one of the best I have ever seen. I cannot understand why it only got a 3 1/2 for a rating. If you like horror you should watch it. You can tell the people who made this movie put a lot of love in it.
