Throughout, the movie is in a jet-lagged, dreamy state. Are things really happening, or are we in a half-dream-half-awake state? It achieves this brilliantly. Does love have an expiration date? After 8 yrs of marriage, is love what it once was? The movie explores these issues. In the end, the couple discover what love can be.

I thought there were some pretty good lines about relationships in here. I liked how Pen-Ek fooled me by having the artist/rapist off focus in the background, I thought he was an extra. I can't say I totally 'got it' though, I still have my question marks. I didn't think the ending was Wit's dream. I think Dang made it to the funeral. Ploy and Dang's black eye - is there, and if so, what's the link? I thought the bartender & chambermaid's tryst was all in Ploy's dream though. Me and movie kaki has our own take on the film. Whoever who has watched this, do share with me how You came away feeling after.

Very slow. Lots of pointless scenes. The plot could have been so much better. The only thing I liked was the girl, Ploy.

A very subtle lost in translation with less style and more substance. Great score too.

there were some interesting scenes. but, overall, the movie comes across as if it couldn't quite decide what it wanted to be.
