Contempt (1963)

Art film producer Jeremy Prokosch, unhappy with the work of his director, hires Fritz Lang (as himself) to direct an adaptation of The Odyssey, but when it seems that the legendary filmmaker is making a picture destined to bomb, he brings in a screenwriter to energise the script. The professional intersects with the personal when a rift develops between the writer and his wife.

One of the greatest opening shots ever. Watch it over and over again, the funny parts just get funnier and funnier and the dissolution of the couple gets more believable. Lang is fabulous, Palance hilariously creepy. Bardot is Bardot: you'll love it or hate it, I've learned to ignore it.

Â¿Quieren ver una extraordinaria historia de desamor, una reflexiÃ³n sobre el cine y sus vÃÂnculos con sus orÃÂgenes griegos y un excelente drama? Vean una de las mejores pelis de la historia. Basada apenas en la novela de Moravia.Godard como asistente de Lang, Brigite joven y hermosÃÂsima, Piccoli mejor dirigido que nunca (y eso que trabajÃ³ con grandes como BuÃ±uel) y un Jack Palance extraordinario Â¡aunque usted no lo crea!. Ã?mela, es cine, cine, cine y no esos coros fÃ¡Â¡cilmente tarareables y previamente masticados. Chin chin el que no llore comparando cÃ³mo amaba Camille a Paul y viÃ©ndola al final. Oh my Godard!
