Contempt (1963)

A philistine in the art film business, Jeremy Prokosch is a producer unhappy with the work of his director. Prokosch has hired Fritz Lang to direct an adaptation of "The Odyssey," but when it seems that the legendary filmmaker is making a picture destined to bomb at the box office, he brings in a screenwriter to energize the script. The professional intersects with the personal when a rift develops between the writer and his wife.

what can i say? its Goddard at his finest. btw - this movie is from 1963. NOT 1997 as flixster suggests.

This could be the worst film Godard ever made or the best film Godard ever made. But the fact that Godard made this film makes this film deserves five stars.

Oh my god!!! This is my second favorite Godard film! Brigitte Bardot breaks my heart with her eyes every time. And she shows her ass a lot... And Fritz is pretty funny.

This is a wonderful film. I truly loves it, The symbolic meaning of colours, the dialogue, the long scenes, the photography, the acting and actors and of course the story itself. Jean-Luc Godard made a masterpiece.
