Mosquito (1994)

An alien starship crashes in a swamp in a U.S. National Park. Some mosquitos begin to feed from the alien's corpses, causing them to grow to the size of a vulture. One great Low Budget horror flick. Gunnar Hansen delivers a great performance and the Mosquitos look awesome. Filled with both realistic and cartoonish special effects, this is a movie for every Troma fan, gore hound or low budget lover.

Mosquito tends to be a fun watch, but the bland characters and force dialog do reveal it's not quite a piece of work. Many of the effects are great, though campy at times, but the rest of the effects are a bit bad. There are plenty of fun moments, similarities with other horror films, and all of your favorite horror tropes.
